Community Empowerment and Development consists of direct intervention in areas identified as urgent and necessary in the economic, environmental, social, and cultural spheres in El Salvador.
We are proud to be part of the Local Advisory Committee (COAL) and the Watershed Advisory Committee of the national Somos Río Lempa Program, a multi-organizational and governmental alliance for the preservation of the Lempa River. This river for El Salvador is comparable to the Mississippi River for the USA, with tributaries coming out of Honduras to the north and dividing the country in two as it drains into the Pacific Ocean. We serve in this effort as specialists in education, awareness, and technology adoption for forest monitoring, as well as in promoting regenerative agriculture initiatives.

We participate in national and international forums on economic development, education, and climate resilience. We have established key partnerships with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Environment, and the Ministry of Agriculture of El Salvador. This allows us to fully take part and contribute to policy making on issues that have a direct effect on the communities within our area of influence.
