Financial Information

Perkin Educational Opportunities Foundation, Inc. is grateful to our donors and partners for the continuing support to our program. We remain committed to our mission of building educational resources and conditions for genuine personal and community development within rural territories of El Salvador, in an efficient and transparent manner.

With an all volunteer staff in the USA, we are proud to state that during the past 18 years, over 97% of contributions have gone directly to established programs and projects in El Salvador.

Our El Salvador program seeks donations in El Salvador and generates income through tuition, food sales, agricultural production and providing other services, in order to supplement basic operational costs of our core program, Amún Shéa. As well an effort is focused on gaining direct financial grants for specific programs and projects. See Grant History for more information.

It must be noted that Project Grants, and a sizable portion of donated funds, are designated for specific activities within our program, and are not applicable for general operational costs. While the specific activities are essential for program impact and growth, so is the care to nourish our core operational program, Amún Shéa, with salaries and benefits that retain talent, with stationary, connectivity and vehicles which allow communication, with administrative stability, the means to repair equipment and infrastructure that has outlived it’s expected lifespan. These are the difficult sell, and yet they are the pillars that hold our dream on solid foundations; they depend on unrestricted funding and self-generated income. We encourage you to become part of the team that will push donations through PEOF/USA over $100k in 2026 and on to $200k by 2028.
