Don Juan and Rosa America began cultivating citrus fruit on a small family plot six years ago. They were able to produce enough during the rainy season to just get by with sales in the local market.
After attending an organic production course at our agro-ecological school and receiving a partial grant for water catchment, they produce year around and their income rose by 60%.
Their plot has become a working model in their community.
